At the start of a new business one of the first things you want is a website. Your website is your online brochure. It's where potential clients can check out your services, compare what you offer with others, get a feel for your brand, and make contact with you.
Yes, a website sounds like something you want to have sooner rather than later. After all, you don't want to miss out on potential customers.
But building a website can get expensive, be overwhelming, and leave the average small business owner unsure of where to begin. There are a number of things to worry about:
- Ready-made templates vs a custom site?
- Who can I trust?
- How much?
- Where do I host the site?
- Can I have more than one domain?
- How do I maintain a website?
Look no further — get a starter website
I'm a website designer and I know how expensive it can be to build a custom website. But I now offer budget-friendly websites starting at $600.
What's included in the starter website?
Three pages that meet most new business owner's needs:
- Home (The home page includes an "about" section)
Room to grow
Starter websites are all built on the WordPress platform and are therefore capable of endless possibilities. As your business grows, we can add pages, shopping carts, portfolios, case studies, downloadable documents, fillable forms, and more...nearly anything you'll need.
I call this starter website the first phase. Some clients are satisfied with a Phase 1 website for a long time. Others move to Phase 2 and expand their content and pages as soon as they can. There is no expiration date or expectation. We can add to the site at your pace, as needed, in unlimited phases.
Add as many domains as you like. You'll register your domains and grant me permission to direct the website to the domain. It's easy.
Hosting and Maintenance
Choose to host wherever you like. If you host with me, I take care of all updates and maintenance as well as daily backups of your site. You don't even need to touch the back end.
If you host your site elsewhere, you take care of the updates and maintenance. It's up to you whichever scenario seems right for your needs.
How do I know you'll do a good job?
I've been building websites for more than ten years. I can provide references and show you some starter and custom websites that I've designed. Just ask!
Scheduling and turnaround
Turnaround is 2-3 weeks from the start date, depending on my workload. I typically book about a month in advance.
Reach out through my contact form. I will provide a proposal. Once accepted, your project may be scheduled.
