Case study: rebranding
Gibson Home Services approached me as they marked their 10th year in business. Their original logo was something they put together when they launched their business. It suited their needs at the time but ten years later, they felt it needed some changes.
Reaching the 10-year milestone the company found that the best types of work for them had changed from when they first started out in business. As they refined their service offerings, they felt that a shift in their identity and branding could help them connect with the segment of the market they really wanted to be working with.
Some of the obvious changes we made to the logo: refined typefaces to help convey a sense of quality. The original logo included the shape of a home with smoke coming from the chimney. We kept the home symbol and smoke in the chimney and it now appears more subtly. This new look is serving the company well and is the cornerstone of all of their marketing materials.
