Working with me

After nearly fifteen years in business, I’ve figured a few things out. Naturally I’ve learned all of this from experience. Yes, I did it all wrong at the start.

Some of these items may seem obvious or silly but these are all things that have come up for me multiple times. It’s best to be as clear as possible so that working together is a fun experience for both of us!

Office Hours

My office hours and communication windows are Tuesday through Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm. You'll often catch me working other hours of the day too (especially super early in the morning) but to help focus and get as much done as possible I limit my communication to these windows of time. If you ever get a message from me in the evening or on a weekend please don’t feel like you have to reply!

Communication

I try to respond to all client emails within 24 hours. I only check my email twice a day and batch reply during those times. All project-related correspondence should be sent to my email directly at pam@pamowensdesign.com.

Whenever possible I prefer written communication over voice so that I have detailed notes about your project.

Turnaround Time

All tasks, whether small jobs or large projects are given a slot on my schedule. I will let you know when to expect your job to be processed. If there is a delay on my end, I will inform you as soon as possible. Please do the same for me.

Please know that it’s usually pretty hard for me to meet same day requests.

Holidays and Time Off

After years of working through holidays, I’ve tightened up my calendar. Because my family is home on US holidays, I no longer work on those days. I also take some extended time off around Christmas and New Year’s to be with family. The exact dates of this vary from year to year but I usually begin my break about a week or so before Christmas. I typically return to my office about the second week of January. Oh, and I also decided a few years back that my birthday is a company holiday so you won’t catch me at my desk on April 16th!
